I'm here because I am curious. I hear blogs alot but don't know much about them - even how you find them.
Recently, I been hearing what a powerful educational tool. I am looking for an 'easy' way to communicate with the parents of my students. Frequently many of them have the same question. Trying to find an efficient way to connect with them is a goal of mine.

My mind is exploding with new avenues to learn. I'm excited about the potential for reaching and engaging my students in my JHS English class through blogging. I am using Ms. Mercer's Class Blog as my first guide. I've got three weeks before school begins and my commitment is to have a blog site on my webpage.

I'm currently in a week long professional development training with Gail Desler & Pat Davis. It is sponsored by the Area 3 Writing Project at UC Davis. The class is called Telling Storys in a Digital Age. I'm trying to drink from a fire hydrant! Wow.
